Celebrity Fascination

Everyone knew Brainiac Five had the tendency to obsess. He did it with experiments until it was finished, exploded or he was forced from the lab by a Legion call, toxic fumes or Superman asking him to come to bed.

For a long time Superman thought Brainy really only obsessed about experiments. Well obsess about experiments and Superman, which Superman had no problems with since it was what had kindled their relationship.

Over time Superman learned that Brainy obsessed over things outside experiments but not other people, which Superman couldn't help but be glad for. Unfortunately that started to change when Superman insisted that Brainy start spending time with him in Superman's time.

While Clark was at the Daily Planet or Superman was needed and Brainy had to stay in Clark's apartment, Brainy would "research" Superman's time via television and the internet. Oddly Brainy became fascinated with an old children's science show and, frustratingly, with the host of the segment.

It was mostly through the internet Brainy learned about what the man was up to in recent time, at least recent time to Clark, and Brainy felt the need to keep Clark updated on him as well. Unfortunately it only made Clark wish the man back into obscurity.

When Brainy had completed a holographic projector on his belt that would keep his green skin hidden, Clark invited Brainy to see the Daily Planet. It was going well until they met the photographer Jimmy Olsen.

"Are you wearing that in imitation of Bill Nye the Science Guy," Brainy asked, Jimmy, indicating towards the red head's red bow tie.

"Lost a bed actually," Jimmy wondered why Clark looked like he wanted to scream.
